Special Seat

Vintage RAF aircraft seat made by L.A. Rumbolds of Kilburn.
Marked with Air Ministry Stores code for aircraft equipment so was used on an aircraft.
Small seat on an aluminium frame with original canvas cover with RAF stores code and Rumbolds data plate on frame and inspectors stamp on canvas.

Seat measures 50 cm/20 inches high at top of backrest and 28 cm/11 inches at seat.

Shown in the AP as a Special Seat made to Rumbolds pattern. Dates from 40's to early 50's.
We have researched and cannot confirm what aircraft it was used on! Any ideas appreciated.
We have washed the cover and stripped and repainted the frame.

It is very light and well padded. Suitable for occasional use or for smaller/younger people
