WW2 Vickers Wellington painted relics displayed on wood

An 8 inch diameter access hatch from a WW2 RAF Vickers Wellington Mk 1A with a post in service brass plaque. The hatch is from the lower part of the aircraft and probably is from the lower wing and was used as an access hatch for the fuel tanks, control surface linkages or wiring.
The exterior of the hatch has remains of the original black paint and the rear and side has original grey/green paint with also a trace of red fabric dope. There are numerous part numbers on the hatch and surround that match pieces of Vickers Wellington that we have had previously - both in terms of the inspectors stamp as well as the number sequence.
The plaque reads DOVER ARP 5&B 2nd May 1940. This was around the dates that Dover ARP Wardens posts were being built in Dover and crewed in early to mid 1940. The 5&B probably relates to a specific section of the local ARP. There remains on e of the Dover ARP posts as a listed building. We assume that the hatch was found or recovered in or around Dover and used as a trophy/memento by the ARP unit. At this time there was little local air activity as the main fighting was in Norway and Holland. We have mounted the hatch on a block of Lignum Vitae hardwood with the details etched into the slanted surface. It is 21 cm diameter.

Gloster Meteor RAF 1950's desk tidy

An oxygen bottle from a Gloster Meteor jet fighter, cut in half and mounted on a shaped hardwood base.

This can be used as a key, pen or chain rest on a sideboard or desk. It is not bolted to the base so can be lifted clear.

The Meteor was one of the earliest jet fighters and was used in WW2 and onwards.

Although designed by Gloster aircraft were contract built by Armstrong Whitworth at Coventry as well as parts made by many other companies. This part is shown in the manual as being a Dowty piece.

A pair of data plates that came on panels from the same aircraft show that it was a Meteor Mk IV made By Armstrong Whitworth in July 1950. From a mid 50's crash that was later dug.

There are part numbers around the neck which confirm its identity in the parts manual as being an Emergency Air Bottle from inside the fuselage.

It has been sectioned into two pieces - one half has a damaged base with a missing section The other has an impacted base but is intact. They are sold separately.

Both have had the edges sanded and the inner and outer surfaces cleaned and deburred.

Price £45 each plus postage
