C-47


This is a  fuselage section from C-47 that first flew with  the USAAF in  1943 and subsequently with the RAF, Spanish air force and several carriers. She was also a veteran of the Berlin Airlift.


It has been painted to represent a C-47 from the Pacific Theatre in WW2. The aircraft was believed to have been based in Papua New Guinea and may have been used to transport provision from Australia to the U.S. Troops in theatre.



The panel is 64cm x 35cm x 7cm

This is a piece of fuselage from a C-47.


It has been painted to represent the 101st Airborne troops who flew to Normandy on D-Day in C-47 aircraft.


The panel is 12 cm x 37 cm

C-47

This is a piece of fuselage from a C-47 used in the filming of the Band of Brothers.


It has been painted to represent the aircraft flown by Airborne troops after D-Day. At the time of Market Garden and the Rhine Crossings C-47 aircraft had the upper D-Day stripes painted out and returned to Olive Drab


This massive panel is 45 cm wide x 1.5 m high
